Hamzah Zainudin has criticised the negative narrative on the 'ultra-rich' used by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in his Budget 2024 speech last Friday.

The opposition leader instead called for Anwar to encourage the rich and big corporations to add to the country's growth for a fairer distribution of wealth.

The sentiment was also shared by Rosol Wahid (PN - Larut) and Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden (PN - Alor Setar), stressing that the negative narrative is confusing when the government is asking for the 'ultra-riches' assistance to help eradicate poverty in this country.
