'Asia's Got Talent' kicks off Malaysian audition

Hundreds, perhaps thousands have gathered at Taylor’s University Lakeside campus on Sunday, Sept 28, 2014 to audition for a spot in the newly launched Asia’s Got Talent reality show. Participants of various ages and talents were seen lining up outside the theatre hall even before 9am, where auditions were held. According to Variety.com, the show will debut on AXN early 2015, involving contestants from a total of 13 countries and territories. The Got Talent franchise initially kicked off in the US titled America’s Got Talent co-created by famed music producer Simon Cowell. What was apparent was that Malaysians really did bring on their A-game at the audition, from a cappella singers to playing the guitar to ballad crooners to silat performers, dancers and various other talents.
