Senior lawyer Shafee Abdullah may have claimed to have read the book 'Billion Dollar Whale' three times but its author, Tom Wright, said he disagreed with the former's views that the book could potentially absolve former premier Najib Abdul Razak of 1MDB-linked charges.
"I do not agree with Shafee's reading of the book.
"Nowhere in the book stated Najib did not know about that (the source of the money in his bank accounts)," said Wright during a dialogue session held in conjunction with The Cooler Lumpur festival at Black Box, Publika, Kuala Lumpur today.
