The MACC is willing to challenge Aman Palestin in court following the investigation over misappropriation of funds by the NGO.

Aman Palestin issued a notice to MACC chief Azam Baki and its director for Anti-Money Laundering Unit Mohamad Zamri Zainul Abidin to unfreeze its bank accounts within three days, or face legal action.

Azam told Malaysiakini that they have the right to initiate legal action, but the anti-graft body also has the right to investigate on behalf of the public.
