Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has expressed his appreciation for the consent of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, to enable him to play a bigger role at the federal level. The Sultan’s private secretary, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, in an earlier statement, said His Royal Highness had consented to Azmin assuming the post of Minister of Economic Affairs. Azmin would remain as Selangor MB until an orderly transfer of power to the new menteri besar was completed.
