Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project must bring new industries and industrial sector development to the East Coast to spur economic growth that benefits the people.
Speaking to reporters after addressing the Melaka Berwibawa Seminar in Bandar Hilir, Melaka on Tuesday, he stressed that there would be no reason to proceed with the project if there were no new industries and growth.
