A group of residents in Rawang held a protest against the building of an incinerator in Batu Arang.

They claimed that they have over 10, 000 signatures opposing the building of the plant, citing concerns about its effect on the environment.

The group said they had send a request to meet Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari in September but had not received a response.
