Bella Hadid DELETES Post Selena Gomez Commented On & Selena Responds!

So that old saying: chicks before…. Well you know. Looks like that doesn’t apply to Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez. The singer sent the supermodel an olive branch via instagram and Bella was NOT having it.
What’s up y’all! I’m Emile Ennis Jr. with Clevver News and it seems Bella Hadid is definitely not over Selena Gomez dating her ex boyfriend, The Weeknd. In fact, her reaction to a sweet message Selena sent on instagram was pretty over the top.
Just as a quick refresher -- we’re gonna get into the full backstory in just a sec -- Selena and Bella both dated The Weeknd; Bella first in 2015, and Selena in 2017. Then Bella again up until, well now actually. The Weeknd’s rep confirmed just last month that while they’re not currently together, the ex couple are extremely friendly. Abel even attended Bella’s birthday party last month.
Ok, but obviously Bella and Selena weren’t friends during this time, as evidenced on social media. They all unfollowed each other. Until just a couple weeks ago, when out of the blue, Selena started following Bella on Insta again after unfollowing her two years ago. Social media detectives immediately noticed.
Then, Selena did the unthinkable! She commented on one of the model’s photos writing: “Stunning” with the heart eyes emoji.
Now fans were REALLY intrigued! And the tea only got better.
Bella abruptly responded to the sweet message by deleting the entire post. The “stunning” photo was completely gone off her instagram.
Now maybe, just MAYBE, Bella decided she just didn’t like that picture for whatever reason, but more than likely, she was probably put off by the singer getting friendly on her public page. That’s what fans certainly think anyway.
And it looks like Selena feels the same.
A Selena Gomez fan account screenshotted Bella’s original post with the singer’s comment. In the caption they wrote: “She's all about supporting women. You all just can't take it nicely. Btw Ms Hadid deleted the post.”
Selena responded to that very post writing: “That sucks,” along with the crying face emoji.
And what does The Weeknd, AKA Abel Tesfaye have to say about all this? Wish we could tell you! The singer deactivated his IG earlier this month. To be fair, however, fans think it’s a stunt for an upcoming new album and NOT related to his ex girlfriends’ drama.
Whew! Ok there’s clearly some animosity going on here. But honestly… can you blame these celebs for having a rough go at being friendly? I mean… a LOT has happened over the last four years…
So backing up… Bella and Abel first got together in 2015. They attended events together as a hot young couple in love and the model even appeared in her BF’s music video for “In The Night.”
Though they briefly split at the end of 2015, they were back together by the Grammys in February of 2016, where Bella happily made their love instagram official.
“This is YOUR day baby! I'm so proud of you. I feel so lucky to be by your side.”
The one upped their Grammy appearance walking side by side at the most exclusive party of the year, The Met Gala! These two seemed SO in love!
But, not long after, the couple had called it quits again, siting their busy schedules as the reason for a break. Come December of 2016, however, Bella and The Weeknd got those reconciliation rumors churning with a run in we’re SURE you remember.
By early 2018, the model and the singer were definitely back together and packing on the PDA practically everywhere they went, and on Instagram too, obvi.
Bella even mentioned The Weeknd in her 73 questions with Vogue!
In 2019, the couple was going strong! And they also seemed to put all the Selena Gomez drama behind them! In May of this year, Bella even liked a photo of Selena on makeup artist, Hung Vanngo’s account. Many thought this signaled the end of their years long feud!
And yet… here we are with more drama via instagram. Bella certainly doesn’t seem to have buried the hatchet just yet. Perhaps it could be because she and The Weeknd are on yet another break.
