A fake loan scheme has left a couple RM3,080 poorer after scammers cheated them into paying various “fees” to approve their application.
MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong told a press conference at Wisma MCA on Tuesday that he has seen 16 similar cases this year alone, and reminded the public that no loan would be approved without any face-to-face meeting.
