This weekend marked the second annual Tidal X charity concert that included a laundry list of A-list performers including Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, and the queen of the evening herslef, Beyonce. B gave a show stopping performance complete with holograms, shifting shelves, and that signature ponytail and at one point she accidentally ripped out one of her earings leaving her ear bleeding. Take a look:
But like the true professional that she is, she continued performing as if nothing happened. She performed several of the spoken word poems from Lemonade as well as a killer performance of 6 Inch before slowing it down for “All Night.” At the close of the performance, B took a minute to remind everyone of the importance of voting saying QUOTE – “It can be easy to feel helpless and want to just block the world out. But doing nothing right now is not an option, y'all. I know it seems like things are bad, but if you think they can't get worse, just ask your grandparents. Remember Barack Obama is our president. You made that happen. Young people made that happen. We are not helpless. The fire is still burning. Please go out and vote this November. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice. We have to use it. Get in formation, use our voices to do something great for our children.”
