Deputy Education Minister Lim Hui Ying told the Dewan Rakyat that a Bill to make secondary school compulsory is being drafted.

Lim said the ministry has also initiated stakeholder engagements with relevant government agencies, Suhakam, National Union of Teaching Profession and NGOs.

She also revealed the statistics of school dropouts for 2022, which showed a downward trend.
