As the polling day of the Tanjung Piai by-election draws closer, both BN and Pakatan Harapan are competing for attention at 'ceramahs'. However, things aren't looking rosy for Harapan.
Wee Jeck Seng from MCA has proven to be a strong contender for Harapan. Not only is he a familiar face to the locals after serving as the MP of Tanjung Piai from 2008 to 2018, he has continued to be active in the constituency after being defeated in GE14.
Meanwhile, DAP grassroots are said to be reluctant to campaign for Karmaine Sardini, after a series of events that strained ties between DAP and Bersatu.
