Dr Mahathir Mohamad's newly formed Pejuang manages to keep its deposit, but just barely.

The party won 13.69 percent of the valid votes, just above the 12.5 percent threshold to keep its deposit.

Meanwhile, independent candidate S Santharasekaran won only 1.79 percent of the votes cast thus losing his RM5,000 deposit.
