Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis announced that 19 people have died in Batang Kali landslide - with authorities in the process of excavating the body of one victim around 6pm today.

According to Norazam, four out of those who died in the landslide today were children.

He said two of the bodies, believed to be of a mother and child were found in an embrace.
