Under Budget 2020, the average toll charges will be reduced by 18% discount across all PLUS highways.
The 18% discount on toll charges for the North South Expressway will save highway users up to RM1.13bil in 2020, and RM43bil over the entire concession period until 2038.
Under the plan, the government will pay RM6.2bil to acquire Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Sprint Expressway (SPRINT) and SMART Tunnel (SMART).
