The construction industry is urging the Government to immediately withdraw the hike in levy for foreign workers. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced the increase in foreign worker levy, which will bring an additional RM2.5bil to the Government’s coffers.
