Building consultancy company ZNA executive director Dr Zulhkiple A. Bakar said they suspected that the lower staircase could be lacking in support and have led to the crack which started at the top floor of the Taman Keramat Permai Flats.
Zulhkiple said the consultancy company, appointed by Institut Kerja Raya Malaysia (IKRAM) under Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), will also try to detect the cause of the crack using computer simulation.
