Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the Cameron Highlands by-election was an important one to gauge the people’s sentiments towards Barisan Nasional.
When asked if Umno would be contesting in the by-election, he said the candidate will be announced on Thursday.
He said in a press conference at the Umno headquarters after chairing the party Supreme Council meeting on Wednesday night.
