Today is the first day since the Movement Control Order began that hairdressers are allowed to reopen.

Barbers don face masks, shields and gloves as they begin their work on their customers who are fitted with a disposable apron as part of the new SOPs in place for the industry.

In Kuala Lumpur and in Penang, both Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi and Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow visited several hair salons on the first day the industry reopened and were happy at the compliance with SOPs by operators.
