Cardi B’s sister Hennessy Carolina has some words for anyone criticizing Cardi’s pregnancy. As ya’ll know- earlier this month Cardi confirmed her pregnancy with fiance Offset’s baby during her performance on Saturday Night Live. In a chat with People Hennessy kept it 100 saying QUOTE, “Why is anyone saying anything so mean to someone? A baby is a blessing. Why would you talk about it like it’s a bad thing? My sister is such a good person, I wouldn’t want nobody to talk bad about her. It really hurts.”
Haters online have speculated that the pregnancy would halt Cardi’s budding career. Cardi herself told The Breakfast Club, “It just really bothers me and disgusts me because I see a lot of women online lik, ‘Oh, I feel sorry for you, your career is over,’ and it’s like, ‘Why can’t I have both? Why do I have to choose a career or a baby?” So Cardi’s here to prove she can have both. PS: she can. Has anyone ever heard of Beyonce? Or JLo? We could go on but we don’t need to.
We’re gonna focus on the positive, and so is Hennessy. She revealed to People: “I know she’s happy. No more people talking about her. I know she’s happy and she’s free. She can go out and eat food, not hide what she wants to wear.” Those. Priorities. Just one more reason we heart Cardi.
And after Cardi’s SNL announcement Hennessy posted a lengthy Instagram caption with her excitement, “You always been like a second mom to me so I know u gonna be the best mommy everrr.” Who else thinks Cardi’s gonna be the best Mommy EVER?
