The MACC has given out more than RM30,000 as tokens of appreciation to Johor civil servants who reported cases of corruption involving the public.
Johor MACC director Azmi Alias said staff of the Customs Department, People’s Volunteer Corps, Islamic Religious Department, Immigration Department and the police were among the civil servants who reported the misconduct.
“This is to encourage civil servants to report corrupt practices, thus eradicating the culture and cleansing the civil service of the crime of corruption and abuse of power,” he added.
