Schools have been making waves lately and for all the wrong reasons. At first it was SK Seri Pristana, where students were made to eat in the shower room.
The latest, SMK Seri Sentosa, where CCTV cameras have been placed in toilets. English language daily theSun reported on Tuesday that 64 CCTV cameras were installed in the school's toilets at a cost of 100,000 ringgit.
Reportedly three months before receiving approval from the ministry. However today, second Education Minister (II) Idris Jusoh says the school has been ordered to remove the cameras.
