PAS Secretary General Takiyuddin Hassan claims that the state Syariah enactments are currently being challenged one by one in court.
Takiyuddin said it started with Iki Putra Mubarrak who challenged the validity of Section 28 of the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995 regarding the offense of unnatural sex.
He added it then spread to Kelantan where Nik Elin Zurina Nik Abdul Rashid and her daughter challenged the provisions of the Kelantan Syariah Criminal Code Enactment (I) 2019.
