At least 1,000 people gathered outside the United States Embassy in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon to protest against President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital city.
The crowd comprised leaders and supporters from Umno, PAS and Harapan parties, along with various Muslim NGOs.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin led his members to submit a memorandum of protest at around 2.30pm.
Chaos ensued as hundreds of supporters insisted on accompanying Khairy to the embassy's entrance, but were prevented by Light Strike Force officers on duty.
