In an exclusive interview with CNN last week, Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad said his return to the politics is fueled by the determination to oust the current prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Mahathir told CNN, it's a job he has to do and he cannot accept Malaysia being destroyed by selfish people who only think about themselvesand that he doesn't mind "being used by the opposition" to oust Najib.
In the interview, CNN also noted how the opposition is weaker nowcompared with the last election in 2013, when BN led by Najib limped to the finish line, losing the popular vote and failing to snag a two-thirds majority in parliament.
