The war against the Islamic State (IS) remains tense in northern Iraq's Mosul, with some extremists still occupying the old city in a brutal fight to the end.
Though these are the final days of the battle for Mosul, it has resulted in some of the most intense combat yet, with IS down to its last remaining men in the old city of Mosul.
