I started drafting my piece when we were visiting Raman at Kampung Orang Asli batu 12, Gombak on the 17th Feb 2014, together with Chong Keat Aun, Fung Chern Hwei and Kohei Nishikawa. Raman demonstrating the traditional tune of pensol playing and followed by some 'modernized' tune. The pensol sound was completely match into the nature sounds of Jungles and, Raman thinks of his music as spirit, and expressed it through pensol, a very thin and quiet instrument. I would like to bring all these elements into my new piece called "Echoes in the Mountain".
