Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali served his one-day jail sentence today and later claimed that he had never acted in contempt of court and said he will appeal his sentence at the High Court.

He insisted he was innocent, saying that he was not responsible for the article posted on his group's website that had purportedly scandalised a judge and the court system.
