The Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur today discharged three activists from violating the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) 2012, after ruling that the court is bound by a Court of Appeal decision that section 9 (5) of the PAA is unconstitutional.
Judge Ahmad Bache however ruled that the court did have jurisdiction to read the charge and have plea recorded from the three acussed- Badrul Hisham Shaharin, Mohamed Bukhairy, and Edy Noor Reduan.
