Bornean Sun Bear is the smallest bear species in the world. They are highly endangered due to poaching, lost of habitat and people keeping them as pet. Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center (BSBCC) was founded in 2008 and has rescued over 40 sun bears from unlicensed zoo, illegal owners, restaurants, etc. The Center rehabilitates these bears before releasing them back to the wild.
Being the first and only sun bear conservation center in the world, the Center also opens its park to public since 2014, to educate visitors on bear conservation.
You will see many adorable sun bears in this video, but each of them has a sad story. Some are showing sign of stress like pacing repeatedly because they are used to small space in cage. Some even forget that they are bear and walk like human with 2 feet.
Placing these bears together in the forest setting will help them to "correct" one another, learning new survival skills and get used to the forest, so they are more prepared to live on the wild.
