John Legend started the tribute off on the piano singing “Easy” with that breathtaking voice of his, and was then joined by Demi Lovato taking the stage to belt her heart out with a rendition of “Hello”. She sounded as flawless as she looked, rocking a plunging white blazer with nothing underneath except a huge diamond necklace.
Next up Luke Bryan brought his country swag to the song “Penny Lover”, followed by a brunette Meghan Trainor serenading the crowd with “You Are”. Tyrese came on next and brought the energy up, getting everybody in the house dancing to “Brick House”. Lionel himself clearly couldn’t keep away from the fun, and helped end the medley in true baller fashion by joining in on his own tribute. He got everybody singing and clapping along to “All Night Long.” One thing we learned for sure from this tribute is that Lionel Richie’s music definitely still holds up today.
