The time has come to announce the first wave of performers during the 2015 MTV VMA’s and you might want to mentally prepare yourself for this one because we’re about to blow your minds with 6 artists set to hit the stage, and we’ve got it all right here on Clevver’s Trophy Life.
Yes, you heard correctly. SIX performers were just announced yesterday and whether you’re into rock, hip-hop, pop, or just pure awesomeness, all musical bases will be covered come Sunday night.
So who are these six performers taking the stage at what we can only imagine to be the best VMA in the history of insane VMAs? Let’s take a look, shall we?!
So much epic music in one night, my head is about to explode! But what’s especially exciting is that not only will this will be most of the performers’ very first VMA performance, but this will be some of their very first time even attending the VMAs, including Tori Kelly, who if I have to bet on it, will be wearing an “unbreakable smile” throughout the entire evening. Demi Lovato is no stranger to the VMAs as she lit up the preshow back in 2012 singing “Give Your Heart a Break” but this will be her first time performing on the main stage.
This will also be Pharell’s first time performing on the main stage as a solo artist, and same goes for A$AP Rocky, who last performed with Rihanna singing “Cockiness” back in 2012. And how could you forget Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ show-stopping performance of “Same Love” featuring Mary Lambert just two years ago, so their return to the VMA stage is sure to be nothing short of perfection.
The Weeknd and Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots are also set to perform at the VMAs and this will also be a big first for them as well, so each of these artists are bout to bring their ‘A’ game, or should I say ‘VM…A’ game so brace yourselves for an unforgettable night.
BUT, the surprises just keep on coming. MTV also revealed that they will be announcing two more artists, one today and one tomorrow both at 7 p.m. EST. Only the silhouettes were shown, but if I had to guess, those shadows are looking a lot like Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, but I want to know which artist you’re most excited to see is and who you think the new ones will be right down here in the comments section below. After that you can click over here to watch us discuss which past VMA Moment was the most shocking on Debatable. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver’s Trophy Life, I’m your host Jackie Iadonisi, and I’ll see ya next time!
