Film director Jurey Latiff Rosli will heed Communication and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak's request that a scene considered disparaging to DAP be removed from his movie titled “The Malay Regiment.”
Earlier, Salleh told Malaysiakini that he had asked the makers of the movie to remove a scene with a car bearing the number plate “DAP165”, stating that it was inappropriate.
The scene was featured in the trailer uploaded on YouTube. The movie is scheduled for screening in conjunction with the Merdeka Day celebrations on Aug 31.
Meanwhile, Jurey denied that he was attempting to portray anti-DAP sentiments in his movie.
