How would you feel if one day your dad was to turn round and say he wanted to be a woman? That rather than being your dad, he’d much rather be your second mum? And how would you respond if your mum confessed that she could no longer live life in a woman’s body? In candid interviews, two mums who used to be dads reveal how their decision to undergo gender reassignment changed their families' lives, while their children talk openly about how losing a father and gaining another mother has affected them. Cheryl, formerly Clive, lives with her three sons and keeps house, while Stephenie, formerly Steve, enjoyed a successful modelling career and has been apart from her family for more than 25 years.
