The death and body dumping of a three-year-old child in Langkawi raises many questions on good parenting, said Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Hannah Yeoh.
A couple detained in connection with the death of Nur Aisyah Aleya Abdullah reportedly told police that the toddler under their care had suffered seizures while she was being bathed.
Police said the man then stuffed the girl into a bag and dumped the remains at a ravine at Gunung Raya.
