Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad once again defended his decision to appoint Datuk Junaidah Kiting, who is also the wife of his political secretary as the chairperson of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), the government’s microfinancing agency for poor households.
Dr Mahathir who is also the Pakatan Harapan chairman, told the press on Monday that the individual had the qualifications to take on the task.
Junaidah is the wife of Dr Mahathir’s political secretary Abu Bakar Yahya.
