In his statement at the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the UN has failed in protecting the poor from the scourge of war but had done much better in other fields.
He added that the world body was short of funds as countries including the very rich were shamefully not paying their dues.
