Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today dismissed as "fake news" rumours of a cabinet reshuffle after the Chinese New Year holidays.
"No reshuffle," Mahathir told reporters after attending the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia's annual Chinese New Year open house at the Wisma Chinese Chambers in Kuala Lumpur.
"I think it is the same cabinet. All rumours. Fake news," he said when asked for comments on a blog post claiming that Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali would be appointed deputy prime minister after the Chinese New Year.
