Ahead of North Korea's summit with the US, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says that Malaysia should be more welcoming of the rogue state's recent attempts to break out of its isolationist policies.
“We used to think of North Korea as a very belligerent country that does not care for the rest of the world.
“But today, he (North Korean leader Kim Jong Un) is making efforts to establish relations with even the US.
“We should not be cynical about that. We should try to make full use of this new attitude by North Korea,” he said, during a session at the Nikkei Conference.
