Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the Sedition Act 1948 is still in place because it takes time to repeal a law.
In the meantime, Dr Mahathir said the law will still be applied.
This comes after Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman said last week that the Sedition Act will continued to be used until it is amended or abolished.
