Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad does not believe that the sex videos implicating Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali are real.
He also described the dissemination of such sex videos as being motivated by a political agenda carried out by certain parties.
"I do not believe this is genuine," Mahathir told reporters at the One Million Memories Night at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam on Wednesday.
"Nowadays, we can do a lot of things with videos and pictures if we are good at it.
"Perhaps one day you will see a lewd picture of me like that. It would be very funny."
Asked if he had met with Azmin since the scandal broke, Mahathir said he had, for the purpose of a cabinet meeting, and that things were normal between them.
