Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said today that his officers have intensified the crackdown on drugs, as the levels of substance abuse have reached "breaking point."
"If we do not tackle it now, the abuse will be on par with Colombia," he told reporters at the Police Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur today.
Hamid stressed that in the past two months, the Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department has redoubled efforts to crack down on drugs, gambling and vice, and has conducted a lot of successful raids.
