Durians From Another Throne In Balik Pulau

Manaweblife discovered a rarity in the world of durian trade in Bukit Penara in Balik Pulau, Penang. This is not a durian stall, but a house of durians! And most interesting of all is that the durian seller is an 87-year old durian master. In the video his wife can be seen right by his side. Mr Lim has over 200 durian trees  but of different local species that are becoming scarce these days. Unlike the popular 'branded' species the local or wild durians are not often found in big quantities even though their tastes are different and some even better than the Musang King species, according to Mr Lim. Each tree sometimes bears only 2-3 fruits. Listen to the video and you will know that Mr Lim has deep knowledge about his durians and see how he amazingly can tell the difference between each fruit. Besides these local durians, Mr Lim now grows other fruits in his plantation in order to survive.
