Tax experts and economists have deemed Malaysia’s economic growth forecast of 4.8% next year as being “quite optimistic,” in light of the challenging external environment.
On the sales and services tax (SST), Axcelasia Taxand Sdn Bhd’s Veerinderjeet Singh said while the goods and services tax (GST) had been a more efficient tax collection system, SST, which the Pakatan Harapan government introduced, can work with close monitoring.
