Ed Sheeran Films "Galway Girl" Music Video & Draws Big Crowd

Being an international superstar comes with a lot of perks. Like being able to shoot your music video in the town that it's about. That's exactly what happened with Ed sheeran when he arrived on the scene in Galway Ireland earlier this week for the filming of his music video. It's no coincidence that Ed ended up in ireland, after all he did collaborate with Irish band Beoga to give the track its traditional folky vibe.
It didn't take long for ed to be noticed on set by locals and fans alike. People took to twitter to shout out this awesome moment. One fan tweeted “I can't believe Ed Sheeran is actually in Galway right now! What I would give to be there! #GalwayGirl”
Because they were filming in various locations, Ed got to head to the local O'Conners pub to film some scenes as fans looked on. So lesson learned, if superstar Ed sheeran ever writes a song with your home town's name in it, get your camera ready.
After a long day of shooting, Ed wrapped things up with an instagram post of his own saying “Thank you to Galway and all the wonderful people in it for helping us shoot a music video yesterday x”
Shape of you is on it's 11th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and we can't wait to see where Galway Girl Lands on the chart.
