EVERYTHING We Know About Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin's Engagement

Yesterday, we were enjoying breakfast on a warm Sunday morning when we were SHOOK to our very cores by Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin. The 24 year old singer and 21 year old model, who have been public with their rekindled relationship for a few weeks now, very public, had gotten engaged in the Bahamas.
And that’s how the internet imploded…
Neither JB or Hailey have commented or made any personal announcements about their new engaged status, but details are emerging and sources are spilling, so strap on your seatbelts because we’re about to break down everything we know about the surprise proposal.
TMZ first reported the news that the Biebs had popped the question during a dinner date in the Bahamas. The outlet reports that Justin proposed in front of everybody, but not before his security asked everybody to put away their phones. Selfish side note, but does that mean we don’t get any video footage of the proposal?! The thought is just devastating.
Luckily for us, thanks to the public display of proposal, there were tons of witnesses to divulge all the romantic details. A source told E! News QUOTE “it happened Saturday in front of a crowd in Baker’s Bay. Justin made arrangements for the ring when they were in NYC and knew that he wanted to propose to her. It was a sudden decision but Justin always knew Hailey and him had a special bond that was incomparable.”
Justin and Hailey did first spark dating rumors years back when they shared that fateful kiss. You know the one… at Leonardo DiCaprio’s New Year’s Eve Party… casual. Bieber posted the kiss on Insta for the world to see, and so it began… Since then, the two have been through their fair share of ups and downs, including not being friends at all, according to a recent interview with The Times, in which Hailey revealed QUOTE “we went through a long period of time when we weren’t friends. We didn’t speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on.” Something tells us the resurgence of Jelena may have also added to that weirdness.
However, this past May, Justin and Hailey had seemingly rekindled their lost romance, and by June, they were completely inseparable. But nobody saw an engagement coming… not even Hailey. The source also told E! that when Justin popped the question QUOTE “her faced was in shock but you could tell they are both so in love.”
And really, everybody is feeling the love. Another source told E! “Justin is happier than ever and wants to be with Hailey. His family is very supportive and know he has been at his best lately. Everyone is happy for him.”
We know Bieber’s dad is totally all for the engagement because he posted on Twitter seemingly congratulating his son and sharing his pride writing QUOTE “Proud is an understatement. Excited for the next chapter!” mom also took to her Twitter writing “Love Love Love” plus a few more loves in a not so coincidentally timed tweet.
Since the proposal, Hailey and Justin look like they’re happily enjoying the rest of their vaca, now as fiances, and even though they have totally left us hanging with no comment about it at all, Hailey’s not hiding that gorgeous rock on her finger, so it’s only a matter of time before we hear from the happy couple themselves… Hopefully.
