The whistleblower at the centre of a corruption scandal has provided Malaysiakini with a brief audio recording of a politician purportedly discussing the bribe he had received to support a project in his state.

It is learnt that it is an alleged recording of a state assemblyperson’s discussion with a businessperson regarding the terms of returning the “RM500,000” he had received in exchange for supporting a project in the state.
