Feel the Exotic Sunset Over the Edge of Mount Bromo

Bromo MountainBromo mountain, is the most popular destination in Indonesia that always been visited by both local or foreign. Bromo Mountain is an active volcanic mountain, located in Probolinggo regency, East Java. At 2,329 meters (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak after all, but is the most well know mountain.

The area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.

Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the "Sea of Sand" ( in Javanese: Segara Wedi or in Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), which is a protected nature reserve since 1919. The main gate to the sea of sand and mount Bromo is through Cemorolawang. This is the most crowded visiting area, especially on holidays. There are many kinds activities that could be carried on this area such as; Camping, watching the scenery, horse riding to sea of sand or walking.
