The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) sent a petition signed by around 100,000 settlers’ to the embassies of European Union members as well as to the office of the delegation of EU to Malaysia in protest of their plan to ban palm oil from entering its market.
A protest was also held by over 2,000 smallholders at Menara Felda to demand the withdrawal of the EU threat against palm oil.
Felda has labelled the European Union (EU) as a hypocrite and accused it of trying to carry out an economic colonialisation of palm oil producing countries over its proposed ban on the commodity.
