First Look at 'Kid Flash' in The Flash Season 3

We were first introduced to actor Keiynan Lonsdale last season on The Flash, but his character has just received a brand new makeover and we’ve got the first look.
You may know him as Wally, the son and brother of Joe and Iris West, but only a true DC fan would know that he may be going be another name this season…
Feast your eyes upon the very first official image of Keiynan Lonsdale AKA Wally West as the KID FLASH, and for anyone who’s thinkin’ ‘where on earth did this adolescent version of the actual Flash come from?’ Kid Flash is actually, in the comics, the young alias Wally, initially adopted after being struck by lightning the same way that Barry Allen was. Kid Flash served as a sidekick to Allen’s Flash, as well as a founding member of the Teen Titans.
In the TV version, Wally is the kid brother to Iris, and at the end of last season, was involved in an accident at STAR labs, however, the season left off with Wally displaying no signs of super speed in the aftermath of the explosion, so obviously something must change since Kid Flash will make his debut in the season 3 premiere. Wally’s costume compared to the Flash’s iconic red and yellow jumpsuit is remarkably similar to what we’ve seen on the page in the comics and, we’re so excited to see this character develop throughout the season.
Many stars from the show have also shown their excitement via social media, including Keiynan himself, taking to Instagram to post his first official photo, writing QUOTE, “Kid Flash is coming. If only I could tell my 5yr old self wishing for super powers that his wish would one day come true. What is life right now!?! @CWTheFlash #WallyWest #KidFlash#MumICanRunReallyFast”
Grant Gustin, who plays the actual Flash in the CW series, also posted the photo, saying, “Yeah, it's like that.@keiynanlonsdale #KidFlash#TheFlashSeason3” and Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin, wrote, “YEAH! Cannot wait to see@keiynanlonsdale as Kid Flash! Season 3 is going to be fantastic & we are so lucky to have Keiynan on the show now!#TheFlash.”
In other Flash news, expect to see Draco Malfoy…I mean… Tom Felton, join the show as a series regular. He’ll be playing Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI who works alongside Barry at the Central City Police Department and suspects there’s more to our mild-mannered hero than his good-guy reputation.
The season 3 premiere, titled “Flashpoint,” is set to air on October 4 so set your DVRs because you definitely don’t want to miss this.
